Icicle bicycle

Icicle bicycle
Rider; peddle, turn
Underneath the wheels
And you dare not squeal

Though the heads ridden upon
are reaching Jill and John
ride on, shiny bicycle
Shine under the winter sun

Red, and spanking new
Like the blood
that’s not your few

Speeding then
over flesh
In a net of mesh

Spokes speckled with
foamy spit
But you are not it
And them
so ride over the mayhem

Ride across the bridge
But beware
Of the ridge
There’s a barricade ahead

Voices sing; truth seeking lead
Ready with torches
Of fiery love
Hurt but standing
With strength from above

The heat is strong
And the heat is real
Though we know you cannot feel
On the structure that you deal..

You won’t crush with your icicle
When fire melts your bicycle

Little Squirrel

Little squirrel
Collecting acorns
For her family
It is the world

After mission, she curls
Up into a ball
She both wants it all
And she wants to crawl

Into her burrow
But she mustn't for long
There’s another mission
To chirp her song

She collects at the speed of light
clever at flipping plight
Her colony needs her so
And love she wants to show

But

She’s inside out
and upside down
sometimes,
up on the oak braches high
Not safe and sound
though she’ll get back down
to earth, somehow
but she can’t allow

The love too close
batting lady squirrel eyes
chirping her worldly wishes
secretly a little skittish…

She doesn’t ever mean to boast
though her enemies may think
on the branches, on the brink..
the next tree is the link

Little squirrel breathe
little squirrel receive
The destined flow
you’re safe; just go.

Drawn In The Tiles

There's a darkness
there's a sweetness
there's an innocence
of the contents

There's a liveliness
there's a substance
I'm not sure what it is
and there's something amiss..

There's a blankness
in their smiles
there's a mystery
drawn in the tiles
There's a quiet wanting
all the while
for freedom
amongst the aisles
of the colours

Meltdown

Wandering along
in a world of reel to reel
trapped inside an analytical brain
with feelings half concealed

Does not compute
but does dispute
what is said; so reputed
felt is so much
and then your touch
can turn me to ice
though I am nice

Pushing to reciprocate
bowing down to replicate
I try so hard..
so do not hate
or is it me that hates it so?

I don't have a bow
upon my head
and sometimes, inside
I am nearly dead
and I just want to lie in bed
and shut it all out
or play my music 'til it
drowns the drought

The hole in my heart
where I need to put art
which would save me and
stop all the demands

For things in which I cannot keep up with
anymore
I want to slam the door
and be j'adore
to art alone

But I cannot completely leave
for I would grieve
the other things I love
though it can be so rough..
I pray to up above

Please, lift this astigmatism
pouring into me, as rheumatism
ravaging my body
from copying the copy
like a hard drive head
with a heart on my sleeve
allergic to the air I breathe
like an alien, shipwrecked

Sometimes it does feel like a curse
of trapped; like feelings in a purple purse
all through my system
and I wish it would stop
I have to pray for the vision
before the raindrops

Fall down my cheeks again
while I'm fighting the process
till I'm rocking and I’m copping
out, like a broken machine
maybe I am now off the beam

Oh, I curse my brain today!
'cause I want to see the way
...I don't want to run away….
but be this way, it may

Where is the key

I'm sorry
I don't understand
you wave your hand
I wave my hand
but your words I don't understand

I speak from commands
inside my brain
and I am vain
and I'm in pain
and the freeze is back
and the speech I lack

My brain is blocked
I cannot see
and I am locked
and where's the key
WHERE IS THE KEY?

Poinsettia (Diamante)

Floral
Red Petals
Pointed, poignant, leaves
Bright, bold, blossoms
Alongside
The Tree

Gumby

Strung along
like a green string bean
like a Gumby
In a vending machine

Waiting for
the coin to spin
while another pin
pokes into the doll

Rise and fall
And ride
and crawl
and bend and bend

Gumby needs to mend!
or is it that?
or not at all
about the rest

Is it perhaps a test?
just a great big test
to bring out the best
from the boarded chest
